My Kids, my Routan, my hubby and I

If you're looking for a site that doesn't involve children, then move along. This is all about how I make use of my year-long maternity leave with my four young kids - all under the age of 6. Before i gave birth to my daughter Addison, i never babysat any children (unless picking on my two younger sisters count) nor did i ever change a single diaper. Writing/blogging is supposed to be therapeutic, so here we go...

I gave birth to my youngest daughter about 3.5 weeks ago. For the first two weeks Auntie D, the children's nanny, stayed and helped out. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, I couldn't keep her around, so I spent the last week enduring what is now my new reality. In my case, its true that the child born right before the newborn is the most difficult to control. Auntie D helped me most with him, and now i would say 50% of my attention is on him... the rest of the time is almost split evenly with the others (newborns sleep a lot!).

At the moment, my biggest success is the fact that I can get all four kids napping at the same time (4pm)... but I don't wanna jinx it cause all moms know that things easily change :(
